“The real act of marriage takes place in the heart, not in the ballroom or church or synagogue. It’s a choice you make – not just on your wedding day, but over and over again – and that choice is reflected in the way you treat your husband or wife.”
— Barbara De Angelis
A few years back, I decided that the wedding industry, which I love very much, didn’t put enough emphasis on what happens after the wedding day. There’s so much more to it than just ‘the big day’ and the party.
It’s a lifetime of choices and a journey that takes us in many different directions.
I wanted to show that to my wedding clients to help them feel less pressure about their wedding and show them that this is, indeed, a marathon not a sprint!
So, I put together The Marriage Project, a photo project showing 50 years of marriage and the stories behind them. Fifty different couples, fifty different stories. Each couple showing what a different year of marriage is like.
For various reasons, the project had to be put on hold. But now, I’ve moved the project to its own website and am ready to get things rolling again!
Please take a look around the site, let me know what you think, and GET IN TOUCH if you want to be a part of the project. It won’t cost you a dime!
